The Apprentice Role
As a Sales Apprentice, 20% of your time will be spent studying towards your Level 6 Sales Certificate
and 80% of your time will be spent applying those learnings on-the-job with the support of an
experienced mentor and colleagues within the sales department. Our sales teams are made up of
internal and external sales managers and a central back office. You will support them on a variety of
activities over your apprenticeship – some of which include:
- Inbound and outbound sales calls
- Lead generation
- Customer Relationship Management / Account Management
- Collecting, checking, qualifying all the legal documentation to progress a lease application
- Underwriting / Preparing Credit applications
- Drafting Lease Contracts and eventual Contract Settlement
- Attending external Customer and Partner Visits
- Attending networking events
- Supporting and contributing to marketing campaigns
- Sales Administration

What is the Sales Apprenticeship Programme at Grenke?
Our 2 year Level 6 programme is an “earn and learn” model, designed to empower you, the apprentice with underpinning knowledge, skills and competencies required to become an effective sales specialist. It is strongly grounded in the practical experience of providing you with real “On-the-Job” work experience whilst being supported by “Off-the-Job” learning in face-to-face workshops and an online learning environment.
As our apprentice, 20% of your time will be spent working towards a QQI Level 6 Sales Certificate, and 80% of your time will be spent applying those learnings with the support of an experienced mentor and colleagues within the sales department.
Year one will be primarily focused on learning and understanding our business, the end to end sales processes/cycle. Year 2 will be focused on sales/business development and building customer interactions, gaining the skill set to do the job.

What qualification will I get?
On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will be accredited with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales. This qualification is on the National Framework of Qualifications and is recognised internationally.
What will I be paid?

How is my qualification funded?
The course is government funded. Study materials are provided by the training center. Grenke will provide resources such as the time, facilities and equipment necessary to support your on and off-the-job learning.

What are the eligibility requirements to become a GRENKE apprentice?
- You must be registered with Solas as an apprentice
- Aged 18 or over
- You Must have Grade O6/H7 or above in 5 Leaving Certificate subjects (including Maths F2/06/H7 along with English or Irish 06/H7) or a full QQI Level 5 or higher qualification
